National Recognition as a Great Place to Live

Sherwood, Oregon is a small town southwest of Portland that is known nationally as a great place to live. Sherwood was ranked the 6th best place to live in America by Money Magazine in 2015.   This isn’t the firs time Sherwood has received recognition;  Sherwood was ranked the 5th best small town in America by CNN Money Magazine in 2013 and was ranked one the Top 10 Best Cities for Families in June 2009 by Family Circle Magazine. It also received recognition as the 18th best place to live by Money Magazine in 2007.

Community Demographics and Information

Sherwood is a rapidly growing city in Washington County and is part of the Greater Portland Metropolitan area.  It has a population of over 18,500 residing in an area of 4.3 square miles.  Just outside of wine country, it is known for its moderate weather.
