Every year hundreds of thousands of birds come to visit Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge on their journey along the Pacific Flyway, one of the ‘highways in the sky’ extending from the Arctic to South America. Than In the spring, birds no bigger than a tennis ball will fly over 5,000 miles north to nest in the Willamette Valley. Many of these colorful migrants rest, nest, and raise their chicks at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. If you are patient, visitors may have the chance to observe, photograph, draw, and paint these colorful birds.
Please join the Friends of Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge for this year’s 4-day celebration of these amazing avian animals! Activities for all ages including over 50 lectures, workshops, walks, tours, and hand-on activities are planned from beginning bird walks to special photography paddles along the Tualatin River. 2011 offers the most extensive variety of activities and we can’t wait to see you there! The 5th Annual McCabe Real Estate Group’s Egg Hunt For HOPE, an annual Sherwood event, raised over $3,700 for Liam Jaussi, a Sherwood boy battling brain cancer.

Over 500 people came out that Saturday to support Liam and his family. Hunts were for all ages including a free egg hunt for adults too. Each hunt had several “prize” eggs with kids and adults leaving the event with a variety of gift certificates. They came out to support a local family while having fun doing it.
Egg Hunt For HOPE At Archer Glen Elementary School in Sherwood, Oregon
The Egg Hunt For HOPE is an annual Sherwood event held one week before Easter. Please mark your calendars for the 2012 event to be Saturday, March 31. The 5th Annual McCabe Real Estate Group’s Benefit Egg Hunt For HOPE is set for Saturday, April 16th starting at 1:30 pm at Archer Glen Elementary school’s field. The school address is 16155 SW Sunset Blvd, Sherwood Oregon.
All money raised at the event will go directly to a local family. This year’s egg hunt recipient is Liam Jaussi. Liam, a 6 year old Sherwood boy, and kindergarten student, was diagnosed last May with brain cancer.
Cost is $3.00 per child. There will be other ways to help raise money for Liam at the event including beverages and snacks sold as a “donation only” and drawing tickets sold for a chance to win one of the several donated gift baskets. Also, the 1st 100 kids to register at the event will each receive an Egg Hunt For HOPE eco friendly bag to use for their egg hunt compliments of the McCabe Real Estate Group. Also, don’t forget to bring your camera to get pictures taken with the Easter Bunny!

Rain or shine, there will be egg hunts for: age 0-2, 3-kindergarten, 1st to 5th grade and one for adults too!
Candy and plastic egg donations are being accepted at several Sherwood businesses. You can drop them off at Sherwood’s John L. Scott office located at 20510 SW Roy Rogers Rd. Suite 120 or at Bittner Dentistry For Kids, Sherwood’s Les Schwab, Fat Milo’s in Old Town, Going Postal, Chapman Smiles and also at Innovations In Management.
