They told their participants to be creative and have fun while they are making a difference in your community.

Instead of just “giving it away” the 26 participants are hosting game nights, parties, selling baked goods, walking dogs, organizing professional photography sessions, and having car washes to name a few of their fundraisers. BBQ to Benefit Epilepsy Foundation
Organized by Shane Murray, a Sherwood resident and also one of the McCabe Real Estate Group’s 26 McCabe Group Money Grow participants, is organizing A BBQ this Saturday August 26th from 6-8 pm benefitng The Epilepsy Foundation. The event will be at Sherwood’s American Legion located in Downtown Sherwood at 22548 SW Pine Street. They will be serving hamburgers, salads and desserts. A suggested donation is $7.00 per meal.

Sherwood Family Triathlon
The 4th Annual Sherwood Family Triathlon is set for Saturday August 20, 2011 at Sherwood’s YMCA facility. Fun for all ages, check in begins at 7:30 am for the Sherwood Family Triathlon event at the Sherwood YMCA.
The Sherwood Family Triathlon is an an event to encourage individuals, families, and the community to be active together! The proceeds benefit the Sherwood Charter School and the Sherwood Family YMCA. The McCabe Real Estate Group is proud to be a $500 sponsor of this year’s annual sherwood event.

Sherwood Foundation For The Arts
Sherwood Foundation For The Arts Presents The Coffeehouse Concert Series at Black Bird Coffee & Tea
Location: Black Bird Coffee & Tea, 22578 SW Washington St., Sherwood, OR 97140
Beginning in August, the Sherwood Foundation for the Arts (SFA) will host local musicians in a coffeehouse setting each month through October. A first of its kind for the SFA, the Coffeehouse Concert Series will offer a small venue for artists to connect with their audience and will bring diverse musical genres to Old Town Sherwood.
With few venues for musicians to play in Sherwood, the Coffeehouse Concert Series at Black Bird Coffee & Tea will be “the place” for residents and visitors to sit back, relax with a superb cup of coffee or tea, and enjoy a front row musical experience.
Black Bird Coffee & Tea will offer a special concert menu featuring Portland Roasting Coffee and a variety of organic, fair trade teas. Cover charge for the event is just $5.00 and proceeds from the event will benefit the Sherwood Foundation of the Arts.
About Sherwood Foundation for the Arts
Recognizing a need and desire for more arts-related opportunities in the community, a group of arts enthusiasts formed the non-profit Sherwood Foundation for the Arts (SFA) in 2008 to provide funding and partnerships in support of local cultural arts experiences. Leadership of the SFA is provided by its nine-member, all volunteer Board of Directors.

Sherwood's Movies In the Park 2011
New this year, Sherwood’s Movies In The Park 2011 has theme nights for each movie! Organized by the City of Sherwood and Sherwood Cultural Arts Foundation, this year’s movie dates are Friday August 12th, 19th, and 26th. Held at Stella Olson Memorial Park near Sherwood High School, the movie begins right at 8:30 pm. The event is free to the public and also offers concessions for sale at the event.
Friday, August 12th, will be themed “Family Night f”eaturing the movie ”Tangled” (PG). Date Night will be the theme for the August 19th movie and “While You Were Sleeping” (PG) will be the featured movie that night. Sherwood’s last Movie in the Park will be titled “Musical Night” with of course “Grease” (PG) being the featured film for that evening.
This year’s title sponsor is again Todd & Leslie McCabe, co-owners of The McCabe Real Estate Group. They were also last year’s Movies In the Park sponsor. They have two young boys and enjoy being able to also spend this event with their family as well.
