Organized and founded by Sherwood real estate group, The McCabe Real Estate Group, the 6th annual Egg Hunt For Hope is set for this Saturday March 31st at 1:30 pm in Sherwood, Oregon. Located at Archer Glen Elementary School’s field, there will be four hunts: 0-2, 3 to kindergarten, 1st to 5th grade and a free hunt for adults too. Cost is only $3.00 per child with all money raised at the event being donated to a local Sherwood family affected by cancer.
This year’s egg hunt recipient is Madelyn “Mady” Stamets, an 18 month old Sherwood girl. In April of 2011, at only 10 months old, Madelyn was diagnosed with a Malignant Rhabdoid Tumor. In October of 2011, she completed her treatment, and is currently in remission.

Rain or shine, there will be four separate egg hunts which includes one for adults. The event will start at 1:30 pm. Don’t forget to bring your rubber boots and rain gear in case it rains along with your camera to get pictures taken with the Easter bunny.

Haunted House Information
Haunted houses are about being scary and we are very good at what we do. While we have no age restrictions, the SMS PAC board does not feel that Spook Alley is appropriate for very young children. That being said, we’ve had young kids go through and have a lot of fun, while forty year old adults asked to leave before reaching the end. This is a very subjective call and we rely on the judgment of the parents or guardians.
Information compliements of Sherwood Middle School’s website.
The McCabe Real Estate Group are also proud parents of an SMS student too! Happy Haunting!

WHAT CAN 26 PARTICIPANTS EACH GROW $60 INTO?
April at their annual benefit Egg Hunt For HOPE event, Todd and Leslie McCabe, owners of The McCabe Real Estate Group gave 26 people each $60 (total of $1,560.00) and challenged them to grow their $60 into more money and to make a difference with it. How much can our total amount of $1,560.00 grow into? $10,000? $25,000? The sky is the limit! There are no rules…simply make that money grow for a person, family, group or organization. They told their participants to be creative and have fun while they are making a difference in your community.
How are they growing their McCabe Group $60 Money Grow Challenge? Instead of just “giving it away” the 26 participants are hosting game nights, parties, selling baked goods, walking dogs, organizing professional photography sessions, and having car washes to name a few of their fundraisers. Once they feel they are done growing their $60 seed money, they are then to donate it to their favorite cause, organization, or even a friend or family in need.
On October 6th, they will all meet up to share their stories on how they grew their money, what they did with it and to see how much the McCabe Group’s donation of $1,560.00 actually grew into.
“You can make a difference wherever you live. It can start with just $60”
