When we received an email from Nate asking us if we could help him spread the word that he is competing for the title of Sherwood High School’s “Mr. Bowmen” we said we would absolutely help share his story on our blog and facebook pages to support his efforts. The McCabe Real Estate Group is very proud to be able to share his desire and dreams to win this competition while raising money for a great cause, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Nate was one of our 22 participants for the $60 McCabe Money Grow Challenge. He raised over $1,000 as a participant in our challenge and we could not be more thrilled to support his fundraising goal for the Mr. Bowmen contest. Nate’s fundraising amount is not small for this event either. He stated his minimum goal is to raise at least $2,500 as a contestant for the Mr. Bowmen contest.
This annual Sherwood event will be held on Thursday, March 1st at Sherwood High School. The Mr Bowmen contest includes a talent contest, funny videos and a bunch of high school seniors making fun of themselves on stage in front of the community all for a good cause to raise money for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. The Mr. Bowmen participants also take a field trip to Doernbecher where they meet and visit with some of the patients.

Sherwood Football 2010 5A State Champions
Sherwood High School 5A Championship Game today at 5:30 pm in Hillsboro, Oregon at the Hillsboro Stadium
Sherwood High School the current2010 5A State Football Champions will be be defending their title tonight at the 5A Championship game held at Hillsboro’s stadium.
The community is asked to meet at Sherwood High School no later than 2 pm to caravan over as a community to the event. The Sherwood Police Department will also be providing a police escort to the stadium.
Tickets are $10 for adults and only $ for students. The McCabe Real Estate Group is proud to be a 2010 and 2011 Bowmen sponsor and wish our team “Good Luck” at tonight’s championship game!

December Sherwood Event: Sherwood’s Voices For The Performing Arts December 10th Holiday Concert. Two shows will be held on Saturday December 10th at Sherwood High School. Show times are 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

Haunted House Information
Haunted houses are about being scary and we are very good at what we do. While we have no age restrictions, the SMS PAC board does not feel that Spook Alley is appropriate for very young children. That being said, we’ve had young kids go through and have a lot of fun, while forty year old adults asked to leave before reaching the end. This is a very subjective call and we rely on the judgment of the parents or guardians.

Hooray For Sherwood! Sherwood Booster Club’s Annual Auction is set for Saturday October 29th from 5:30 to 8:30 at Wilsonville’s Holiday Inn. A Hollywood themed event, there will be a live and silent auction as well as a delicious buffet dinner. Tickets to the auction are on sale now. Tickets are: $50 each or a table of 10 for $500 (includes 10 beverage tickets). “Auction Only” (no dinner) tickets are also available for $35 each.
