Relay For Life of Sherwood: August 7th & 8th Sherwood High School
Sherwood Event: The 6th Annual Relay For Life of Sherwood is Saturday, August 7th at Sherwood High School’s track and field. Since cancer never sleeps, the event is for 24 hours ending at 10 am on Sunday, August 8th. The American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event, Todd and Leslie McCabe, of the McCabe Real Estate Group, are proud to have helped start Sherwood’s event in 2005. Every year the event grows with more volunteers and even more participants raising money for cancer research, education and advocacy. The McCabe Real Estate Group is proud to also be the stage sponsors for the event and Leslie is on the committee this year serving as the advocacy chair.
Free to the public, there will be activities for everyone including a luncheon for cancer survivors, bouncy house provided by the Partylite Team, “Go to Jail” fundraiser by the Haley Bops team from 2-4 pm on Saturday. Numerous entertainment acts will be performing on the stage throughout the event. You also don’t want to miss the touching Luminaria Ceremony that starts at 10 pm sharp honoring those who have fought and those who have lost the battle to cancer.

Loves to my dad, Eddie, a cancer survivor, my Aunt Connie, a cancer survivor, my Aunt Cleo, who lost the battle 2 years ago to liver cancer, to Todd’s grandma who lost her battle last December to stomach cancer and to my friends: DeeDee, Kelly, Kira, Connie, Del, Terah….all survivors.
